Volunteer To Be a Mentor
Being a mentor is one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling things you’ll ever do. You can help shape a child’s future by empowering them to achieve physically, mentally, and emotionally. Guidelines will be provided for setting measurable goals and the information virtual sessions will focus on. There is no travel necessary and the best part is, it’s actually a lot of fun.

Basic Commitment
-Minimum of one virtual meeting per week
-Year long availability
WORKPLACE MENTORING PARTNERS
Upstanding Citizens provides NYC high school and college students with the critical skills needed to achieve their full career potential through a mentoring relationship with a caring adult role model. Students can be matched with a group or a one to one mentoring partnership with company employees that will help map out students' futures and develop interests through structured program activities.
The topics for our curriculum focus on the development of career and life skills.
Topics include: communication skills, problem-Solving and critical thinking, time management and organization, professionalism, networking, and industry-specific skills. We work closely with the mentors to incorporate the company's core values and resources into program activities.

Support all of the Upstanding Citizens initiatives

$3,500 allows you to sponsor a student for one year, providing an education that they would otherwise not have received.
-
$1,000 allows you to 'adopt a classroom' for one year, providing important supplies for 30 students.
-
$250 funds the cost of one comprehensive screening for a potential mentor.
-
$100 supports the cost of our volunteer outreach and recruitment efforts to help attract new mentors for children in need.
